Time To Reply Self Hosted Solution For Measuring Email Response Times

Time To Reply offers a self hosted solutions for enterprise customers who want to house all data within their own environment / on premise or in a private cloud.

We offer a self hosted solution for the following email providers:

 

  1. Microsoft Exchange – In addition to our software and database, another application is installed on a machine within the customer’s environment. The application connects to each mailbox you are wanting to track and pushes the email header information via our API (install within the customer’s environment) to the Time To Reply software system. The software system (installed in customer’s environment) receives email header information and the data is stored on a database within the customer’s environment.
  2. o365 – Secure connection is established with o365 and Time To Reply’s software (installed in customer’s environment) using the o365 API / MSGraph API and OAuth 2.0 authentication. The software system (installed in customer’s environment) receives email header information and the data is stored on a database within the customer’s environment.
  3. Gmail / Gsuite – Secure connection is established with Gmail/Gsuite and Time To Reply’s software (installed in customer’s environment) using the Gmail API and OAuth 2.0 authentication. The software system (installed in customer’s environment) receives email header information and the data is stored on a database within the customer’s environment.
  4. Mimecast – Secure connection is established with Mimecast and Time To Reply’s software (installed in customer’s environment) using the Mimecast API and Mimecast’s own authentication protocol. The software system (installed in customer’s environment) receives email header information and the data is stored on a database within the customer’s environment.
  5. IMAP – Secure connection is established with each mailbox that you want to track and Time To Reply’s software (installed in customer’s environment) using the mailbox username and password (stored on the customer’s local environment). The software system polls the mailboxes and analyses the header information to produce email analytics. The data is stored on a database within the customer’s environment.

In order to install the software and database, the following servers are required:

Our standard offering is a cloud-based SaaS offering we connect to mailboxes using the available mail APIs from Google or Microsoft, or via an IMAP connection, the Mimecast API or using an application that we have developed for Microsoft Exchange Servers. The data is stored in our cloud environment on Amazon Web Services. We analyze the email header information that we store and provide email analytics that you can view by logging into our online dashboard via the public internet.

With the self hosted solution, everything (email header information and access tokens / mailbox credentials) is housed on the client’s premises or on a private cloud that is owned by the customer.
